Baltic Cloud - launched!
Today the first instance of the Baltic Cloud was put into production at the BalticGrid-II partner KBFI (Estonia) site.
This first installation of an instance of the Baltic Cloud is built
on Eucalyptus (eucalyptus.cs.ucsb.edu), the open source alternative to
cloud provisioning, allowing the cloud user to use a limited set of
amazon cloud tools.
This is a step taken to add new services and access routes to the
BalticGrid-II resources, and is part of the BalticGrid-II Innovation Lab,
BGi, initiative. The BGi was started in the very beginning of this
year, and is an initiative to promote networks of startups and
innovators in the Baltic States and Belarus."
