Cooperation with EGEE
Various activities are performed in the framework of cooperation between BalticGrid NA2 (Education, Training, Dissemination and Outreach) and the NA2 (Dissemination and Outreach) and NA3 (Training and Induction) of the EGEE project:
- BalticGrid have been invited to the EGEE’06 Conference in Geneva, Sep 25–29, 2006 to take part in the concertation workshop, where representatives of some related projects (including BalticGrid) will give brief presentations on Grid Infrastructure, Applications and Training.
- Experienced lecturers and trainers from the EGEE
project have conducted 3-day tutorial on EGEE middleware and
applications during the 1st BalticGrid Summer School in Tartu, 4-8 July 2006.
Materials of the tutorial can be reused for future training events and EGEE trainers offered help in adopting these materials.
- EGEE disseminative materials (a poster, brochures) have been provided by TERENA for the BalticGrid event in Vilnius, 26-28 April: the 1st All-Hands Meeting and Grid Open Day. The brochures have been distributed among the event's participants.
