Welcome to Joint Research Activity 1 web page:
Service Level Agreement Markets and Dynamic Account Management.

This site contains information related to the research activity  carried out by the JRA partners

The objectives of this activity are:
  • to investigate, prototype and suggest mechanisms for ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are established and enforced in a standard and secure way,
  • to design, develop and deploy, in cooperation with the Grid Operations activity (SA1), a non-intrusive, standards based user account management system which can be integrated into a Grid accounting system, such as SGAS,
  • to carry out research, prototype and in collaboration with other activities, deploy SLAs in the BalticGrid.

This activity will deliver software components ready to be deployed in production Grids in the following areas:
  • SLA based QoS management
  • Dynamic Virtual Runtime environment based account management
In addition we will provide reports and use cases highlighting the requirements of a sustainable European Grid Market. To this end we will also provide a proof of concept of integrating two Grid accounting systems.
The software implemented within this activity will be deployed to the Baltic Grid infrastructure by SA1 activity.
The activity will contribute to enhancement of user management and resource access control in Grid environments in the Baltic States. This will be achieved by supplying tools supporting SLA and user management, as well as knowledge experience and software transfer.
