The roles and responsibilities
BalticGrid Tutorial Technical Team provide the Organizer with grid certificates to access the BG training infrastructure. These are short-time anonymous certificates valid solely for the tutorial event.
The Organizers agrees to record mapping between the anonymous certificates and the tutorial participant personal to whom the certificate password has been provided.
The procedure of obtaining the certificates
Prerequisities
- The request for tutorial certificates must be send at least 2 weeks in advance before the tutorial event
- The tutorial organizer should own the X.509 certificate (to be able to download certificates)
Step 1.
Tutorial Organizer provide the event details to the Technical Team (two weeks before the event at latest)
- Tutorial Organizer Contact(s) Details
- Name Surname,
- institute,
- e-mail address,
- phone - please indicate who would be the primary person to contact

Please send this information to cyfronet-tutorial-ca AT grid.cyfronet.pl (as a temporar solution).
Step 2.Tutorial Technical Team validates the request and if accepted provides the credentials to the Tutorial Organizer.

IMPORTANT: The Tutorial Organizer is obliged to keep track of which
certificate was given out to which participant. The names have to be written down and a copy send back to the BalticGrid Tutorial Technical Team (cyfronet-tutorial-ca AT grid.cyfronet.pl).
Step 3
. (after the event)
Within 2 weeks the tutorial organizer sends back a copy of the mapping between certificates and tutorial Participants' names.
- Tutorial Organizer sends by a signed e-mail the certificate numbers along with the Names of the tutorial Participants.

- Make sure the system clock on the machine you run the command is synchronized with some time server
- In case of problems that are supposed not to be at your side please contact the Tutorial Technical Team at cyfronet-tutorial-ca AT grid.cyfronet.pl or make a call to +48 12 617 4335 ask for Marcin Radecki.
