The goal of the BalticGrid project is to extend the European Grid by integrating new partners from the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) in the European Grid research community and to foster the development of Grid infrastructure in these countries. To this end, the BalticGrid consortium has enlisted the help of experienced EU Grid computing centers whose aim will be to guide our new partners through the process of deploying Grid resources and applications at their respective institutions. Registration for the First BalticGrid Summer School is open! |
The Summer School will be held at the Tartu University, Estonia, from 4 July to 8 July, 2006. The general purpose of this event is to provide students - mainly from the Baltic region - with a broad understanding of Grid computing, which will serve as the foundation for more specific work or research in this fascinating field.
Students will receive an integrated and well-structured introduction to Grid computing and its applications used in the EGEE and BalticGrid projects. More ... |
